TheorieWin is not the CBR and does not book exams. What cbr.nl says always applies.

TheorieWin is an independent online course to pass the CBR car (B) theory exam, in Dutch, English, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian. We are not the CBR and do not book exams. We check every question and every explanation against the Dutch text and the Dutch traffic rules (RVV 1990).

Why TheorieWin exists

Many people who live in the Netherlands have to take the theory exam in a language that is not their own. The exam only exists in Dutch and English, and some terms always stay in Dutch. TheorieWin lets you practise in your own language, with the official Dutch term next to it, so nothing on the exam day is new to you.

How we write and check the content

  • Dutch and the RVV 1990 are the source. The English, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian texts are translations and may never say anything different: the same numbers, the same conditions, the same exceptions.
  • Every rule names its article. For every lesson and explanation our data holds the article of the RVV 1990 or the Wegenverkeerswet 1994, so we can always check the rule.
  • Fixed translations. Terms that are often mistranslated, such as autoweg, erf or stilstaan, have one fixed translation in a glossary. An automatic check blocks any text with a forbidden translation or with numbers that differ from the Dutch.
  • The exam as it is now. We follow the CBR exam since 7 April 2025: 50 questions, 44 correct to pass, 30 minutes and animations without sound. What the CBR says about the exam we check on cbr.nl.
  • Our own animations. We make the animations ourselves in 3D, with Dutch streets, signs and road users. They are not CBR animations.

What we are not

  • We are not the CBR and have no agreement with the CBR.
  • We do not book exams and never ask for your DigiD or the exam fee.
  • Our questions are practice questions in the style of the exam, not real CBR exam questions. We do not promise that you will pass.
